Re: Casablanca SO Openstack adapter org.onap.so.openstack.utils.MsoCommonUtils - RA_CONNECTION_EXCEPTION

Hello Brian,

Thank you so much for reply. I am a bit new to ONAP and trying to instantiate vFW to OpenStack Queen version (Keystone v3).

On openStack the list of the Region is:

~$ openstack region list
+-----------+---------------+-------------+
| Region    | Parent Region | Description |
+-----------+---------------+-------------+
| RegionOne | None          |             |
+-----------+---------------+-------------+

Yes,  I am trying to configure v2.0 to multicloud and then, v3.0 from multicloud to openStack. In cloud_sites, there is two entry with same Region_ID. Is this the reason for the error? The so-openstack debug log is attached.

The identity_services and cloud_sites databases are as follows:

[Controlloop Subcommittee/Holmes] VES measurement event correlation

rashmi

Hi,

I want to process VES measurement events and produce a VES fault event based on certain rules.

For example: say we collect VES measurement events for CPU stats over a 10min window. When the CPU usage is >90% for 70% of the 10min window then output a VES fault event. Also, allow the user to configure these threshold parameters.

We looked at Holmes since it is targeted at correlation analysis between different VES events. However, since it consumes VESFault and produces Controlloop events (not VES format) we cannot leverage it as is.

Looking for recommendations on which components of the closeloop can be used to achieve such a functionality. Also, is there anything on roadmap to support VES event format in other closeloop components? Appreciate your inputs/help.

Thanks,

Rashmi

Your probably missing reference data most likely to execute the self service topology flow for VNF/VF Module.

Did you add the SDNC reference data in your heat?

https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/vFW+CDS+Casablanca?focusedCommentId=60885317#comment-60885317

HEAT

Each VFC has its own HEAT template and environment file. One of the HEAT templates is the base_template, it takes care of the creation of shared resources across other VFCs; i.e the protected and unprotected networks. Within the MANIFEST.json file, the base_template is identified by the boolean is_base = true, ex: https://github.com/onap/demo/blob/master/heat/vFW_NextGen/templates/MANIFEST.json#L8 This allows to correctly resolve the VFC dependency.

In Casablanca, as CDS isn't integrated within SDC, in order for the runtime to know CDS should be used for assignment, the following fields are added to the server's metadata in the HEAT template:

·        sdnc_model_name

·        sdnc_model_version

·        sdnc_artifact_name.

They identify a Controller Blueprint that has been designed and published; ex: https://github.com/onap/demo/blob/master/heat/vFW_NextGen/templates/vfw.yaml#L200

Hi,

I was able to run the IP Assignment netbox microservice using the helm contrib chart, but still the error regarding the class class com.att.sdnctl.sli.plugin.eipam.EIPAMPlugin.

I searched the gerrit, and I cannot find this class, any idea how to work around this, in order to allow the GR-API to run ?

I passed this error by clearing the VF to VFC mapping table, and the DG reached the auto-ip-assignment, however, now I got another error

Is distribution completed OK in SO? If so, check if AAI has that model ID:

You need to put availability zone in AAI. If you run demo-k8s.sh onap init_customer from oom/kubernetes/robot in the Rancher VM, you should already have it. Otherwise, you need to do it manually:

curl -X PUT \

  https://10.12.5.16:30233/aai/v15/cloud-infrastructure/cloud-regions/cloud-region/CloudOwner/RegionOne/availability-zones/availability-zone/AZ1 \

  -H 'Accept: application/json' \

  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \

  -H 'Postman-Token: 773f90c4-1492-4450-adb9-a40bcce2ff4e' \

  -H 'X-FromAppId: AAI' \

  -H 'X-TransactionId: get_aai_subscr' \

  -H 'cache-control: no-cache' \

  -d '{

                "availability-zone-name": "AZ1",

                "hypervisor-type": "hypervisor"

}'

Subject: [onap-discuss] GR-API error

Hi,

I distributed the vfw model OK, and I try to instantiate using VID with the GR-API

The service is instantiated OK, but when I try to instantiate a Vnf, I get the following error in VID

"requestId": "f8211940-c0c6-4933-87fc-260685f905ad",

"requestType": "createInstance",

"requestState": "FAILED",

"requestStatus": "null + Rollback has been completed successfully.",

"percent-progress": "100"

Also, in SDNC logs, I get the following error showing that the DG failed.

2019-04-14 16:22:21,210 | ERROR | qtp823819312-503 | GenericResourceApiProvider       | 237 - org.onap.sdnc.northbound.generic-resource-api-provider - 1.4.3 | Returned FAILED for vnf-topology-operation [bf2b4328-4eec-4188-8910-a9f3d9b8913f] VnfTopologyOperationOutput [_ackFinalIndicator=Y, _responseCode=500, _responseMessage=No availability zones found in AAI for cloud region fr1, _svcRequestId=7c7b9b30-d899-481e-856a-1391172152d4, augmentation=[]]

Any idea what does this mean : No availability zones found in AAI for cloud region fr1

And how it can be corrected ?

the VNF-API is working fine

Thanks

A. Seaudi

You have to use multicloud in Casablanca to talk to a v3 keystone.

V2 from SO to Multicloud and v3 from Multicloud

In Dublin SO directly supports v3 and there is a patched version of SO around that supports v3 that Seshu has I think.

If you have a v3 enabled SO – then KEYSTONE_V3 is the identity type not KEYSTONE and you need to include the project_domain and user_domain fields in the cloud_sites table

Hi Team,

We are using ONAP Casablanca Release OOM based Deployment with Openstack Ocata for implementing the vCPE use case.

All 5 services for vCPE have been created and distributed successfully.

We used the vcpe.py infra to automatically deploy the infra service. However, while creating network, we face issue where SO Openstack Adaptor cannot authenticate with the Openstack Keystone service ( which is v3 in our case as v2.0 is deprecated )

We have already verified that the OS_ENCRYPTED_PASSWORD generated using SO_ENCRYPTION_KEY is correct and can be decrypted using openssl.

Is this issue because SO tries to do a Keystone v2 based authentication ? What is the way to use Keystone v3 API ? Any help /pointers would be highly appreciated.

This Robot script calls SO API to put v3 keystone information into SO for usage,  please try this approach.

You need to put availability zone in AAI. If you run demo-k8s.sh onap init_customer from oom/kubernetes/robot in the Rancher VM, you should already have it. Otherwise, you need to do it manually:

curl -X PUT \

  https://10.12.5.16:30233/aai/v15/cloud-infrastructure/cloud-regions/cloud-region/CloudOwner/RegionOne/availability-zones/availability-zone/AZ1 \

  -H 'Accept: application/json' \

  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \

  -H 'Postman-Token: 773f90c4-1492-4450-adb9-a40bcce2ff4e' \

  -H 'X-FromAppId: AAI' \

  -H 'X-TransactionId: get_aai_subscr' \

  -H 'cache-control: no-cache' \

  -d '{

                "availability-zone-name": "AZ1",

                "hypervisor-type": "hypervisor"

}'

Subject: [onap-discuss] GR-API error

Hi,

I distributed the vfw model OK, and I try to instantiate using VID with the GR-API

The service is instantiated OK, but when I try to instantiate a Vnf, I get the following error in VID

"requestId": "f8211940-c0c6-4933-87fc-260685f905ad",

"requestType": "createInstance",

"requestState": "FAILED",

"requestStatus": "null + Rollback has been completed successfully.",

"percent-progress": "100"

Thanks

Re: Casablanca SO Openstack adapter org.onap.so.openstack.utils.MsoCommonUtils - RA_CONNECTION_EXCEPTION

Brian Freeman

In Dublin, I would look earlier in the debug.log to see what keystone is returning to SO.

That error message can mean that the region_id in the identity_services table is not matching with the region configured in openstack.

They dont have to be the same string as the ID in the cloud_sites  table but the REGION_ID in cloud_sites has to match the “region” in the openstack configuration.

In the ONAP test labs all tenants are configured with an openstack “region” of RegionOne for simplicity but that is not required.

Example below for direct SO to Openstack but the same should apply with MultiCloud – I think you want the v2.0 example since you are probably configured to do v2.0 to MultiCloud and then v3 from multicloud to openstack.

IDENTITY_SERVER_TYPE is KEYSTONE for v2.0 in identity_services even for SO to MultiCloud if you are using the v2.0 identity_services_url.

Hello Vivek and kranthi,

 I tried the steps given above in order to enable the keystone v3. However, during vnf node deployment on the OpenStack I am getting an error:  AIC did not match an orchestration service for: region=RegionOne,cloud=http://<"OOM IP address">:30280/api/multicloud/v0/CloudOwner_RegionOne/identity/v2.0.

Please give some suggestion to debug this issue.
Thank you so much for your help!

Still,

CL deploy operation from CLAMP is not working. I attach clamp logs of the "deploy" action I've just tried.

Dear Jorge,

the workaround works to access Policy UI via https://policy.api.simpledemo.onap.org:30219/onap/login.htm:

1. Log to policy-pap-xxx
2. sed -i 's/role_access/#role_access/g' /opt/app/policy/servers/console/webapps/onap/WEB-INF/classes/portal.properties
3. source /opt/app/policy/etc/profile.d/env.sh;
4. policy.sh stop;
5. policy.sh start;

Thank you very much!

Re: New resource distribution fails - Fixed

D'Alessandro Alessandro Gerardo

we worked with Aniello and we fixed the issue ( for details see steps below related to Jira ticket SDC-2196).
The procedure that we followed to add new resources requires to undeploy SDC, build the code and redeploy the entire SDC. From an operation point of view it is not a viable solution.
Is there anyone that followed a different approach?

We also faced with lack of documentation about the correct folder where to put our custom resource. Is there anyone that can provide some information about the difference between the folders nfv-types, normative-types, heat-types, etc under  {gerrit sdc code}/catalog-be/src/main/resources/import/tosca/
thanks?
best regards
Alessandro D'Alessandro

steps to fix the issue:
-  Download SDC code from gerrit (git clone https://gerrit.onap.org/r/sdc).
-  Put cord-evc.yml  and cord-evc.json  to {gerrit sdc code}/catalog-be/src/main/resources/import/tosca/heat-types/cord-evc/
-  append new dataTypes to {gerrit sdc code}/catalog-be/src/main/resources/import/tosca/data-types/datatypes.yml
-  Add the new heatType name to the script "importHeatTypes.py" ({gerrit sdc code}/catalog-be/src/main/resources/scripts/import/tosca ) into the array HeatTypes
- Run: mvn clean install -P docker   to build the docker image
- re-deploy SDC

Hello Vivek and kranthi,

Subject: [onap-discuss] ONAP CLI in Casablanca

Hi,

We are trying to use ONAP CLI, and found that several commands fail as not supported.

Is there a plan to enable the rest in near future?

Few commands seem to work fine:

onap cloud-list -m https://$AAI_IP:8443

+------------+------------+------------------+

|cloud       |region      |resource-version  |

+------------+------------+------------------+

|CloudOwner  |regionOne   |1554971488563     |

+------------+------------+------------------+

whereas, several others related to SDC don't seem to be enabled:

onap vf-create

0x6003::Command vf-create is not available for product version onap-casablanca

[ONAP Helpdesk #70354] [gerrit] gerrit.onap.org use an old version of gerrit

Seems that this upgrade require several steps in between.

I will coordinate with the Infrastructure team to work on this

Hello,
gerrit.onap.org is currently using 2.14.6 version (out in November

Several (13) releases on the 2.14 branches have been out since,
correcting at least 12 security vulnerabilites according to the
release notes (https://www.gerritcodereview.com/2.14.html).
In the meantime, 2.15 version (March 2018) and 2.16 version (november
2018) have been out and have received several upgrades (2.15 version
is at 2.15.12 and 2.16 versions is at 2.16.7) and could be interesting
to move to these newer versions.
